Ridgway Advance Ram 370 was named short wool champion at the Karoonda Merino Field day. Competition judge, Paul Meyer, Mulloorie Stud said the ram had good wool of staple length, width and structure with a good strong head. He also said he could not fault the Ridgway Advance Poll Ram.

The ram measured in AWTA test 19 micron, 99.8 per cent comfort factor, 2.7 standard deviation and 14.2pc co-efficient of variation.

Stud principal David Ridgway said the ram, one of the 13 on display at field day, would be sold in the Murray Bridge Classing Classic on Friday October 1st, 2010

Elders sponsored the short wool competition which was won by a Ridgway Advance ram. Elders Regional livestock coordinator, Phil Nagel congratulating David Ridgway, Ridgway Advance principal.
