The Classing Classic |
If Advance's sale result in the 07 Classic wasn't impressive enough, their on property sale was dynamite! 100% clearance at $1450 average reflected the quality of the plainest polls in the state.
Two outstanding highs of the sale, $4300 to Senior Park S.A., bred from WP179 and $4800 to Kevin Hynam, Victoria bred from the mighty Walladale 2 led the way with great frame and wool figures.

The Gregor Family who were represented by the never ageing Brian Jefferies, bought around 10 rams to really bolster the sale not leaving Malcolm Scroop a Moment for water or a breather!
Most noticeable looking through the catalogue on the day other than top test figures, was the sire column and Ridgway Advance's main influences.
The flock has had major infusions from Wallaloo Park over the years thus providing the stud with true medium fibre based genetics. This through the use of semen and a live ram WP9 over many hundred ewes via AI and shed joinings over many years, rushed the stud into the top 5 stakes in the state in a hurry!
What to do with such quality on the dam side was an important directional decision and careful planning ensued.
Leahcim 123, owned by SWS (and David) and Walladale 2 owned by a smaller syndicate yet huge results nation wide, have currently had a huge bearing with the aim and sucess of the stud.
David and Karen's careful ewe joinings over the years has created stock that aren't typical to the State.
Plain necks, low SD's, top carcass traits and soft wool comes automatically with this style of breeding heading them towards truly mules free compliant by 2010 end.
