Merino breeders from three states enjoyed great value buying at Ridgway Advance's annual on-property sale near Bordertown on Wednesday the 10th.

Stud principals David, Karen and Devon Ridgway sold to an overall average similar to last year. The majority of rams sold to repeat clients stretching from the Eyre peninsular to the South east and across Victoria & NSW.

A Balance of fibre and meat traits prompted repeat buyer from Barham NSW to return to Ridgway Advance's ram Sale. Tim paid the $5200 top price for Lot 9 - a 19.7 micron June drop, son of home bred sire RA 080. "It has great carcase shape with thickness as well as good fat and eye muscle tests with fibre density and length"

David was thrilled with the positive feedback from their clients and the consistency of their 2016 offering, which had great balance of meat and wool traits. " The sale is about our commercial clients"
